Diversity. Inclusion. Being valued for who you are.

It’s a way of life here. It has to be. It takes all kinds of characters to help us think differently and meet the diverse needs of our customers.

We love having a diverse team of people who bring new ideas and different strengths and perspectives to the party. Techies. Leaders. Bold thinkers. Supreme organisers. We’re on a journey together. So, we all have the same opportunities to grow, succeed and be more. Working with and learning from people from all walks of life makes every day an adventure.

Passionate about diversity and inclusion, we treat everyone fairly and equally. You’ll be able to be yourself. And you’ll enjoy fair pay, equal prospects and individual career development. Not to mention flexible working and a healthy/work life balance. For our early careers, we’ve even started having ‘blind’ interviews to make sure we assess the person - not their CV!

Equality. Diversity. Inclusion. Fairness. This is how we roll. Whoever you are – O2 has a place for you.

With 6,700 employees and each one of us unique in our own way, our LGBTQ network has evolved.

You may know us for our Pride events, but at the same time as celebrating our diversity and inclusivity externally, we’ve reviewed our internal focus, objectives and plan for the future. With full commitment to everyone to bring their whole selves to work, our LGBTQ network is now known as Proud at O2.

We are Proud to be part of a company that has an open culture and people at the centre of our success, but we still have work to do. Our plan will support everyone to be Proud of who they are and how they choose to identify. We want to reach out beyond our main offices and share our stories, and support our people, friends or family who wish to stand proud on their behalf.

One of the things that we are really Proud of is that we have created a toolkit for our people and managers to support individuals who are going through or considering starting a gender transition journey. As part of our commitment to promoting inclusion in the workplace, this toolkit will make sure all of our managers are fully prepared to support transitioning employees as we continue to build an environment where all employees, regardless of their gender identity, feel comfortable coming to work and being themselves.

We are Proud at O2.

We see the Women's Network as a platform, a resource and a community for like-minded people (whatever your gender, background and race) to be empowered, together. We have a big focus on development, networking, family, inspiration and health and wellbeing.

We're very proud to support Step into STEM. A 7 month mentoring and work insight programme funded and supported by O2, BT, Vodafone and Ericsson to give female students access to professionals in science, technology, engineering & maths sectors.

We're a growing group of passionate people who believe that equality is best.

This year we’re looking to increase our footprint (and recruit more men), but for now we want to make sure that Network members feel supported and that we grow together.

We are also signatories of the Tech Talent Charter. The purpose of the charter is to bring together industries and organisations to drive diversity and address gender imbalance in tech roles. By signing this charger we are committing to support the amazing women we have within our business as well as focusing on recruiting a more diverse workforce particularly across our technical roles.

We believe our BAME network plays a key role in enabling O2 to truly represent its customers but it is also important to us that we embrace the cultural differences that it brings. We want to create greater opportunities for our BAME employees to ensure that they can be the best that they can be. Our ambition is to drive greater representation, support the development and progression of our BAME employees and help to build an inclusive culture.

We're also member of the Social Mobility Business Compact, meaning we're dedicated to democratising access to opportunity and making sure everyone has the chance to fulfil their potential, whatever their background.

We’ve championed the importance of inclusivity here at O2, which is why in December 2017 we made a public commitment to support those who serve or have served, and their families, by becoming the 2000th signatory of the Armed Forces Covenant. Find out more why we signed up and what measures we have in place.
