The position is part of the Group Legal team and works closely with IT, Security, People and our parent company Telefónica. The role is based in Madrid -Spain
The focus of this role is the operational implementation of data protection topics and the coordination of selected compliance activities across the Group.

#yourmission

→ Take responsibility for the operational implementation of data protection requirements across the BE-terna Group and act as the main interface to the external Data Protection Officer (DPO)

→ Develop and maintain key data protection processes (e.g. DPIAs, data breach management, records of processing activities)

→ Advise management and business units on data protection requirements and risks

→ Support audits and ensure the implementation of resulting measures

→ Coordinate selected compliance topics and contribute to the development of a group-wide compliance framework

→ Align with key stakeholders (Legal, HR, Finance, IT, Telefónica) and support risk assessments and awareness initiatives

#yoursuperpowers

→ Several years of experience in data protection / privacy (ideally 5+ years)

→ Strong knowledge of GDPR and relevant data protection laws

→ Experience in the operational implementation of data protection requirements in a corporate environment

→ Initial experience in compliance, governance or risk management is a plus

→ Basic understanding of IT systems and cloud environments (e.g. Microsoft Azure)

→ Structured, independent and solution-oriented working style with strong communication skills

→ Very good Spanish and English skills. German is desirable
