As a  Sales Development Representative, you'll undergo a multi-week, comprehensive training program designed to introduce you to consultative selling skills in Cybersecurity, Cloud and Internet of Things solutions. The Sales Development Representative is responsible for identifying, qualifying and closing sales opportunities. The Sales Development Representative will partner with field sales representatives and marketing to generate demand and qualify leads.   


What you’ll do 


This role presents a challenging and exciting opportunity to test your sales skills, tenacity, prospecting abilities, critical thinking, focus, and follow-through. You'll receive the tools, training, coaching, and resources needed to succeed. Upon receiving your territory assignment, you will qualify and promote leads for new prospects and/or existing customers to the Telefonica Tech sales team with clear next steps. The Sales Development Role includes incentive compensation contingent upon achieving specific objectives.

As a Sales Development Representative, you will:   


  • Build a sales pipeline using cold calling methodologies and social selling. Qualify leads and prospects based on defined criteria.  

  • Execute database and telemarketing programs to increase attendance at upcoming events, seminars, and to create awareness for current products and service offer, promotions to target audiences. Call into prospects and IT departments as part of lead development and qualification. 

  • Develop a strong foundation of industry competence, technology knowledge, and sales methodology to establish credibility with decision-makers. 

  • Develop an understanding of the account’s business issues and other relevant information. 

  • Hone your sales skills to identify and qualify new business opportunities and/or expansion/upsell opportunities.  

  • Collaborate with the sales team on go-to-market strategy, demand generation activities, and targets. Work to meet defined metrics goals. 

  • Ensure all data is accurately maintained and updated in Salesforce and HubSpot CRM to track activity. 

  • Conduct research on accounts by using Sales Navigator, LinkedIn, Lusha and similar tools.

  • Hold a GPA of 3.0 or higher (preferred)  

  • Have 0-1 year of related work experience and/or applicable coursework, philanthropy, or extra-curricular activities

  • Persuasive, professional, and prepared  

  • Strong in written and verbal communication skills

  • Preferred:  

  • Fluent understanding of Spanish and/or Portuguese  

  • Understanding of cloud and cybersecurity solutions  

  • Experience using a CRM preferred, specifically and HubSpot  

  • Ability to work both individually and in a team environment.Innovative and creative throughout the sales process. A desire to find solutions to problems and meet all customer’s requirements whilst understanding the commitment to deliver all that is confirmed in a bid response.
