About the role

  • To lead, develop and manage the Utility purchasing strategy for VMO2. This involves maintaining a detailed understanding of the UK wholesale energy markets.
  • Refine and deliver the Flex procurement Strategy, Supply tenders/budgets (Cross working with the Senior Bureau Manager)

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Put in place a robust Flex Procurement Strategy for the Fixed Line part of the Business (Virgin Media).
  • Develop and refine the Flex Procurement Strategy for the Mobile part of the business (O2)
  • Produce a Roadmap for aligning Flex Procurement for VMO2
  • Tender:
  • Gas Contracts
  • Electricity Contract for sites in Northern Ireland
  • Main Bulk Electricity Contracts under a single supplier for VMO2

 

What We Need from You:

Essential Skills:

  • Strong analytical and statistical and communication skills.
  • Subject matter expert and In-depth knowledge of purchasing and trading within complex Utility Markets.
  • Science/analytical based Degree (BEng) or equivalent.
  • Experience and track record of
  • Procuring utilities for large multi-site operations - preferably within the TMT sector
  • Managing Budget and Accruals
  • Experience with Contract Management relating to utilities.
