About the Team:

The Tools and OSS team is responsible for delivering innovative Tools and OSS solutions that creates value across all of Operations. The team defines Tools and OSS solutions bases on the Strategy and Requirement from stakeholders. They work with organisations across the business and 3rd parties to deliver solutions that are capable of accommodating and growing with technology roadmaps and changes. In addition, the team owns the management and lifecycle of several key tools within Networks. Our goal is to enable individuals, teams and processes to be lean and agile, delivering savings for the business and improvements to customer experiences.

 

About the Role:

The role of the Tools and OSS Demand Specialist for Networks Tools, OSS and C-SON (TOCS Team) is to capture, align and determine Operation’s current and future needs for Tools and OSS capabilities based on Business Initiatives, Domain Intent, desired operational outcomes and underpinning requirements from our key stakeholders.

Also Creative, Empathetic Problem solving through design for New Tools and Capabilities, keeping in mind user and business goals

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Demand Function lead to ensure current operational support tools capabilities remain viable for Stakeholders.
  • Work with technical projects across the business delivery teams to ensure compliance to requirements.
  • To work with Business leads to identify Tools and OSS demand for Operations.
  • To liaise with the Program Managers to forecast OSS demand for Operations.
  • To maintain focus on Automation capabilities for Operations Teams and to make sure that the Automation strategy is driving towards Zero touch operations.
  • Plan and conduct user research and competitor analysis
  • Interpret data and qualitative feedback
  • Create user stories, personas, and storyboards to understand and communicate the users and business needs
  • Determine information architecture and create sitemaps
  • To enable Operations and O2 to consistently achieve service and performance targets for our customers.
  • To work with the Operations Teams to monitor and measure the efficiency of the Tools post integration/change and manage any subsequent improvement actions with delivery teams.
  • To strive for continual improvement in all the key measures and to involve our suppliers and 3rd parties were required.

 

What We Need from You:

  • Role holder must have a good understanding of mobile networks either in an operator or supplier.
  • Must be able to identify and develop best practise for Operations teams.
  • Must be able to provide an in depth understanding of stakeholder organisations and related Demand Management
  • Can add value to company-wide planning processes and can make material contributions to the company strategy
  • Has taken specific past action to influence and mobilise others to undertake change and can show a detailed understanding of team member’s strength and weaknesses when assigning significant responsibility.
  • Can demonstrate an ability to take personal risks to initiate innovative processes that produce a step change in business performance
  • A good working knowledge of mobile networks, the mobile communications marketplace, and the ability to deal with constantly changing and evolving targets.
  • To be highly motivated open minded and seize opportunity and encourage and develop the same within your team. To create a sense of team ownership, responsibility and accountability in delivering results
  • Have the ability to work with their peers across the business to develop and deliver best practice for the benefit of the organisation
