About the Team:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Senior Finance Manager to join the Trading Performance team on a 6month secondment (Paternity Leave Cover) forming part of the wider commercial finance function.

 

About the Role:

The UK P&L delivers Turnover of £6Bn+/annum and is currently performing strongly driven by continued commercial momentum in the core Mobile proposition being Customer Led, Mobile First.

 

One of the core priorities of the T-UK Finance function is to provide the right insight and proactively shape the business through data-driven decision making.

 

This position has 2-3 direct reports and will support the CCO & Business Directorates by providing effective insight & analysis to be able to deliver and exceed business plans and financial targets

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Weekly & Monthly:

-Analyse weekly and monthly trading performance outputs produced by the respective Performance teams.

-Draw out key messages to relay back through story-telling into the business through weekly forums such as Pre-Execute brief (CFO/SLT), Trading calls and M/E Reviews.

-Supporting the delivery of actions to improve both the Value and Trading metrics to drive the right result across the business.

Commercial Analysis:

-Using information and insight to influence the VMO2 Consumer/Business and help steer profitable growth.

-Influence & shape the key metric insights & dashboards required under the newly merged VMO2.

 

Forecasting/Budgeting/Outlooks:

-Working closely with Teams across the Business to construct, review, challenge and present latest forecasting and budgeting financial analysis based on knowledge of P&Ls, Value KPIs and Trading.

 

FDP/VBS:

- Finance Lead in supporting the delivery of FDP into VBS tools. This entails reviewing old world vs new world reconciliations and raising issues with D&I and Accenture should they occur.

-Responsible for signing off Value metrics and educating teams on the new NSV metric from the ‘one source of truth’ data.

-Driving improvement and efficiencies through better processes and smarter working under the VBS umbrella.

 

Story Telling:

-Ability & confidence to present analysis and influence multiple levels of stakeholders through messaging.

 

Stakeholder Management:

-Responsible for supporting the Head of Finance-Trading, Indirect & SMB Channels, P&L Leads, respective CCO, Business & VM Trading Performance Teams.

-Establish and develop collaborative relationships with Finance colleagues across VMO2 to provide the required insight and commentary to deliver optimum results.

 

What We Need from You:

 

-Accountancy background - CIMA, ACCA or ACA Qualified.

-Excellent analytical skills

-Confident presentation and communication skills with the ability to communicate in a succinct and insightful manner, articulating key messages across all levels of management.

-Capable of interacting and influencing individuals across Finance, CCO, Business & D&I.

-Self-motivated and able to prioritise whilst working to consistently tight deadlines.

-Desirable: SAP BPC/ MicroStrategy experience.

 

6 month FTC
