About the team

 

The Online analytics and optimisation team uses data and insight to improve our digital sales and service experiences. Specifically the team delivers analyses and A, B test experiments where the objective is to influence one or more of the following:

 

  1. Increase volume and quality of sales online
  2. Increase the usage and quality of self-serve and self-help online
  3. Increase the revenue generated through My O2
  4. Increase satisfaction and usability of the O2 website

 

About the role

 

The Online Senior Analytics Implementation manager’s purpose is to maintain and improve the digital analytics implementation ensuring strong data quality, the capture of useful data and legal compliance.

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Guide and manage the tag manager migration from Adobe Launch to Tealium IQ.
  • Gather requirements for the implementation of new tracking.
  • Write digital analytics user stories which include data layer specification and custom events.
  • Test the deployment of the analytics.
  • Manage the implementation of digital marketing pixels and third party tools.
  • Fix issues that are found within the tag management implementation.
  • Report issues and defects to development teams, and follow up on these to ensure they are resolved in a satisfactory and timely way.
  • Cull, simplify and improve the data quality of the existing implementation.
  • Documentation of the delivered solution and training up other team members.
  • Improve processes for governance and production deployments.

 

Key skills/experience

 

  • Experience of implementing, maintaining and testing the implementation of web analytics tools using a tag manager.
  • Preference for experience of Tealium IQ tag manager.
  • Coding experience using  JavaScript.
  • Experience with  Digital Analytics (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics).
  • Use of Developer tools within web browsers, and common debugging tools for analytics and tag implementation.
  • Attention to detail and focus for testing analytics deployments.
  • Passionate about digital and making insight driven change.
  • Analytical experience outside web analytics (e.g. business analytics, research).
