About the Team:


The Device Network Integration Team are responsible for ensuring that O2 devices provide the best network and customer experience and that devices are compliant to internal and industry standards.


Your Role:


This is a senior technical engineering role working within the Device Integration and Test areas reporting to the Device Integration Manager.


This role is required to ensure all devices are fully assessed against internal and industry standards prior to use in the O2 Network.





  • To provide technical leadership in an engineering team responsible for confirming the device to network compatibility for new and updated 3G/4G/5G devices
  • To include root cause analysis of issues found and ensuring compliance to internal and industry standards
  • To contribute to O2 device technical requirements and to report on device performance and capability
  • To liaise closely with device vendors, technical account managers and other internal teams on delivery and defects to ensure timely fault resolution
  • To perform device testing at a radio protocol level and provide technical engineering support to major device and network related projects



Skills & experience:


  • A detailed protocol knowledge of 5G-NR, LTE, VoLTE, UMTS and GSM interfaces between UE, radio and core networks is required
  • Demonstrable experience in UE network integration and test and previous experience of Nokia or Ericsson RAN is required
  • Knowledge of 3GPP UE conformance test specifications and requirements is required
  • The ability to use Network Protocol Analyzers, handset logging tools and test automation is required
  • Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills are required with an appropriate degree, or equivalent, with at least 3 years’ experience
  • Evidence of a collaborative way of working, along with the ability to build and lead both internal and external relationships is required
