The Media Performance team sits within Brand & Marcomms and exists to deliver better business results through media innovation and effectiveness, ensuring customer insight and experience is at the heart of everything we do.

 

A team of digital media and CRM experts, we champion our channels internally and externally, developing long-term strategies, underpinned by robust test and learn roadmaps, and promoting best practices – both media and creative - to improve the use and effectiveness of digital media, experiences, insight, and technology.

 

How will you fit into this?

The SEO Manager role is a truly exciting position within the Media Performance team, with exposure to multiple projects across the organisation. They will be the go-to person for all things SEO, internally and externally, championing it’s role within our overall marketing mix and driving innovation within the channel.

 

Working closely with the Senior Search Manager to deliver a truly integrated paid and organic approach to Search, the SEO Manager will drive the SEO strategy for O2 UK, working across all campaigns and ‘always-on’ activity, from planning, execution and evaluation to ensuring we constantly optimise for the greatest result.

 

Some of the more specific responsibilities:

  • Create and deliver the SEO strategy for O2 UK, spanning both technical link development and content SEO.
  • Collaborate closely with the wider Media Performance team to deliver against our team goals and ambitions.
  • Work hand in hand with the Senior Search Manager to drive cross channel learnings and efficiencies, with the primary goal of driving a highly effective search marketing operation.
  • Lead the relationship with our SEO agency to shape and deliver our annual plans for SEO and our testing roadmap.
  • Conduct keyword research to guide content teams and work closely with them to maximise the benefit of earned media.
  • Attend relevant planning sessions to ensure SEO is considered across appropriate marketing programmes and campaigns. 
  • Effectively and proactively communicate to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work alongside internal stakeholders, including Online and Proposition owners, to share plans and insights.

 

What we need from you:

  • Proven experience within SEO essential, possibly already as an Manager, SEM Manager or similar role
  • Experience with SEO reporting including relevant tools such as SEO Monitor, Screaming Frog, Web Analytics, and Attribution etc.
  • Able to demonstrate successfully delivering effective SEO initiatives and activity that has driven business results.
  • Comfortable collaborating within cross-functional environments to deliver campaigns and projects.
  • Experience working within or managing search agencies
  • Confident analysing channel data, identifying insight and presenting recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent with excellent written skills, strong data skills, English language and grammar.
