About the Team

The Retail Marketing Lead is the senior member of the Retail Marketing team at Tesco Mobile. Our team sits within the ‘Acquire’ Tribe delivering Promotional Periods that drive acquisition of new customers.

 

The Retail Marketing team is responsible for translating these Promotional Periods into our 500-store estate and optimising the customer experience.

 

About the role

The Retail Marketing Lead will own the execution of the Retail Marketing Strategy to streamline operations, drive footfall to stores and elevate the in-store experience. Retail campaign planning and management on a monthly basis and stores operational alignment and support.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Evolving and driving the Retail Marketing Strategy.
  • Overseeing key workstreams within the team to deliver on operational efficiency, driving footfall and elevating the customer experience.
  • Guiding the team through monthly campaign cycles to deliver POS into store that delivers on our brand values and drives sales.
  • Driving key store design initiatives to define the future of retail at Tesco Mobile.  
  • Identifying opportunities for new processes etc for space planning/merchandising that are in line with customer experience output and drive operational efficiencies within the team
  • Being a consult and inform for initiatives, change, communication for stores and support strategic decision making.
  • Holding strong stakeholder relationships within the business and wider shareholder and maximizing opportunities across group re Tesco owned media. 
  • Developing, testing, trialling solutions prior to implementation to ensure that these are efficient, and customer focused
  • Assessing the financial impacts of projects and preparing the business case.
  • Manage relationships with external agencies and printers
  • Strong analytical skills and can use this information to form a basis of strong recommendations.
  • Provide guidance to 4 team members.

 

What We Need from You:

Essential Skills:

  • Exposure to Telco/subscription-based business models desirable
  • Prior experience in retail marketing (ideally gained client side) and the operational side of getting POS into stores.
  • Experience in a mix of brands or range of retailers desirable
  • Experience in both Brand & DR desirable
  • Open to candidates with a mix, but not all of above
