About the team

Whether you're working within the Market Development & Wholesale team bringing new 5G and Smart/IoT technologies and market propositions to life, supporting the development of our more established products in the Product & Partnerships team or part of the team driving towards a digital transformation of our technical platforms, you will be contributing hands-on to the growth and opportunity VMO2 has in the Enterprise, Public Sector and SMB space. About the role


Reporting to the Head of Transformation, as the Principal Solution Architect you will be responsible for leading the Solution Architecture function within the portfolio, a team made up of both internal and external Senior Solution Architect and Solution Architect resources.

You will play a leadership role in our key transformation programme, owning and assuring the overall technical solution whilst leading other Solution Architects to ensure that the customer's goals are central in both the project design and execution.  You'll also be responsible for providing expert-level consultancy to the senior leadership team and key stakeholders.


The must haves


In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;

  • Been responsible for the definition/maintenance of the technical architecture
  • Proven experience providing technical direction, structure, and a clear baseline for solutions architecture
  • Strong capability and gravitas to present solutions to stakeholders, including an understanding of their business drivers and preferences
  • Highly influential and effective in solution governance and assurance, working across multiple teams and suppliers.
  • Proficient to work with suppliers in the delivery of solutions
  • Good understanding of KPIs, usage stats & availability reports with the capability to analyse the implications of these for the delivered solution, and assessment of any indicators of solution faults or non-compliance
  • Outstanding reporting capabilities


The other stuff we're looking for


We'd also love you to bring;

  • IT BSS Platform knowledge and experience in a Telco B2B context, preferably with Salesforce and Netcracker.
  • Proven experience in leading Solutions Architect teams
  • Solutions management qualifications or equivalent work experience
  • TOGAF/ITIL Desirable
