About the role

  • Forensically exploit information sources to identify performance trends, drive actions and highlight achievement
  • Provide key reports and insight on performance across Network Operations to individuals and groups of people interested in service performance and the customer experience.
  • Use tools such as MicroStrategy, to structure reporting and insight, enabling the improvement of decision making across the organisation


Key Responsibilities

  • Use all available information sources to identify performance trends, drive actions and highlight achievement across Network Operations
  • Collaborates with senior Network Operations teams to gather the up-to-date, relevant, and accurate context for the stated performance positions
  • Works to deepen the understanding of our target audiences by integrating automated content with accurate context – specifically related to incident and problem performance
  • Produces rich, re-usable and accurate content across multiple mediums by consolidating and synchronising information from multiple sources
  • Owns the story for performance across Network Operations – specifically related to incident and problem performance but is able to integrate that with a financial, people, strategy and service lens where required.
  • Questions and probes pre-prepared information to forensically verify accuracy and support the context of published information
  • Own the publishing strategy for Network Operations information campaigns both scheduled and ad-hoc
  • Feeds into and supports the social media strategy for Network Operations, focussed on – but not limited to – VMO2 Workplace
  • Translates an information brief into contextualised powerful copy and stories that can drive the desired action
  • Provides support to Head of Operational Performance in preparing talking points, key messages, and editorial pieces or presentations for major events
  • Ensure the timely delivery of all insights and outputs and manage stakeholder expectations accordingly


What We Need from You:

Essential Skills:

  • Highly numerate with strong analytical skills. (inc MicroStrategy/similar BI Toolsets and Excel)
  • Demonstrated track record of producing contextualised content for a range of target audiences.
  • Track record of using purposeful storytelling to drive organizational impact and business results.
  • Superior written and verbal communications skills a must.
  • Experience translating technical source material into accessible compelling human stories for a general audience.
  • Strong time management skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Experience of ITSM Toolsets and ITIL methods and best practices
  • Excellent presentation skills
