As Modern Workplace Sales Specialists, you'll help to deliver digital transformation through the adoption of modern device management methodologies to our clients. Experience, at both a technical and commercial level, in the modern workplace, is essential.

You will be comfortable engaging at a senior level in a business and be able to respond to the technical and commercial challenges as part of the engagement.

The modern workplace is a key growth area for Virgin Media O2, consisting of a variety of solutions ranging from the desktop as a service, security, device management software (Microsoft EM&S and VMWare), managed services and now growing into modern workplace solutions to reduce the IT burden on organisations. Customers increasingly look to cloud-based collaboration services to enable meetings, conferencing, messaging, file exchange and voice calls, all accessed through mobile and desktop. This converged space is the future of our Modern Workplace Practice.


About the team:

The Digital Sales team drives opportunities in existing and new logo accounts by supporting our account management & acquisition community. We focus on the newest product areas of the market that will inspire change within our customers. We support Virgin Media O2’s Enterprise customers across Multi-National, Public sector and Private enterprise channels working with our colleagues in Sales, Product, Marketing, Finance and Solutions to ensure that we have alignment between our go-to-market products and our customer requirements.

Our approach to the market is via the integration of secure, Digital infrastructure, a Modern Workplace, and Digital Solutions to deliver outstanding experiences and outcomes to our customers, and their customers

Key Responsibilities

1. Achieve Sales Targets, by:

  • Pipeline development, reporting & forecasting
  • Demand generation activity in collaboration with marketing, sales, and partners
  • Maximise win rates, supervise and improve the efficiency of your activity
  • Achieve profitable sales working collaboratively with sales colleagues


2. Support the vision of the Modern Workplace

  • Contribute to the vision for the digital workplace, in line with digital sales strategy and complimenting digital infrastructure and digital solutions.
  • Execute against prescribed strategy and in a year plan
  • Drive customer engagement and positive customer outcomes through technical and commercial expertise in the market


The must-haves

In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;

  • Technical understanding and experience of converging mobility, collaboration, Desktop as a service and associated platforms
  • A full understanding of Microsoft licensing to be able to engage with customers around the best use practices and handling their licence estates
  • Microsoft365, VMWare Workspace One and associated device management technologies knowledge
  • Confident negotiator and excellent deal closure skills
  • B2B sales experience within the digital world is essential
  • Commercial acumen and proven experience to draft commercial models to appeal to customers
  • Desktop operating system management expertise is an advantage.
  • Proven experience with Opportunity Qualification methodologies
