About the role

Support the development and delivery of credit risk modelling solutions from a technical perspective, developing and implementing analytic methodologies, tools, and processes. You will manage the development of quantitative or expert judgement-based models and evaluate acquisition optimisation opportunities and the financial/non-financial impacts and changes to risk. Support the analysis and reporting on credit strategy and performance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop challenger scenario models to evaluate, model and assess impacts of change, financial/non-financial impacts and resulting risks
  • Proactively work towards improving credit risk modelling and scorecards, processes and methodologies including exploration of advanced modelling techniques
  • Gather and interpret data into Management Information to inform strategy and business decisions
  • Recommend change to policy rules and decisions to reduce early disconnection rate / losses due to non-payment
  • Produce impact assessments on proposed / requested changes
  • Business Partner with stakeholders, sharing results / decisions / reason for change / adhoc queries
  • Assist wider team function; credit policy and underwriting / decision system development and maintenance / change delivery programmes
  • Responsible for the development & maintenance of our SQL server


What We Need from You:

Essential Skills:

  • Strong quantitative background, with skills in manipulating, analysing and presentation of data
  • Experience in design, development, monitoring and oversight of credit risk management models, scorecards, and systems
  • SAS coding experience, MS Office, and advanced Excel / PowerPivot skills
  • Proven problem-solving ability with strong attention to detail
  • Challenging and creative approach
  • Influencing and networking skills to support optimisation delivery and proactive engagement with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Able to work as part of a small team in a fast-paced environment
