About the role


This role is one of three roles in a team that supports two critical areas of the business. One is the PAYG, MBB, Watch and Accessories team that operates the trading, P&L and proposition for these areas. The other is Consumer Indirect Team that owns the relationship and contracts with third party channels across PAYM and PAYG.


This role will lead on providing support to the Consumer Indirect Team with one graduate, who is a shared resource with the PAYG, MBB, Watch & Accessories Finance Manager. This role will need a commercially focused business partner to support on decision making around pricing, promotions & commercial contractual terms. 


This requires a variety of business partnering and P&L management and leadership skills in order to achieve commercial objectives, and requires working with, challenging and supporting a number of senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities


•        Advising the Head of Consumer Indirect on investment options to drive optimal commercial outcomes with Partners, ensuring all contracts and variations are commercially sound.
•        Deliver on all requirements to drive excellent Indirect forecasting and reporting outputs.
•        Attend and support Quarter Business Review meetings (internal and with indirect partner).
•        Understand channel profitability to advise on maximum return.
•        Identify tactical and strategic indirect opportunities and threats, and clearly articulate options to maximise opportunities and mitigate risks.
•        Lead the enhancement of all internal finance processes relating to indirect trading, such as tariff sign off, remuneration sign off, bonus sign off, overlay sign off etc.
•        Manage & develop one graduate as they progress through their finance qualifications. 
•        Support on other projects within the Consumer Mobile Team, to support the overall delivery of the Mobile P&L.


What We Need from You:


•        Qualified Accountant.
•        Experience of working in commercial relationships with third parties.
•        Strong track record in building relationships with stakeholders.
•        Experience of influencing and driving the decision making process.
•        Highly Analytical: Strong modelling skills supported by strong commercial analysis to pro-actively draw out business themes, challenge assumptions, understand core problems and bring clarity to complex issues. 
•        Excellent communication: Ability to articulate, complex and detailed information in a simple form to both financial and non-financial teams around the business across all levels.
•        Leadership: Ability to engage and lead with senior professionals cross directorate to achieve optimal commercial outcomes quickly and effectively.
