About the Role:

Virgin Media and O2 joined forces in June 2021. Following our operational merger, we are now on the look-out for marketers of the highest calibre to join our world class team who look after the O2, Virgin Mobile, and Virgin Media O2 brands. As Campaign Manager, you’ll be integral to the delivery of Virgin Media O2’s consumer-facing communications. You’ll be a confident communicator yourself, adept at getting the best out agencies as well as navigating the nuances of internal stakeholding. You’ll have an instinctive business acumen, with a keen sense of what messages might resonate best with consumers in order to drive business performance. And you’ll be at the forefront of driving and delivering disruptive brand and trading campaigns that bring our brand purpose to life for consumers.

 

You’ll need to show proven experience leading and managing through-the-line brand campaigns, whether from an agency or a brand side. You’ll have a true understanding of the communications funnel and the role of channels within this. With impressive experience in (but not limited to) ATL campaigns, activation and experiential, your conceptual and strategic thinking, plus amazing project management skills will be an asset to every project you work on. You’ll have the chance to tackle nationwide multi-mil £ campaigns, and bring your enthusiasm to work on the smaller projects too.

 

On the campaigns assigned to you, you will have full ownership and will be a key point of contact within the wider VMO2 business and with the agencies you interact with. As such, you will be critical to the project management process, working closely and collaboratively with all stakeholders to deliver plans that meet the agreed KPIs.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in overseeing and coordinating the production and communication of new brand and trading messages, TTL, for customers and prospects, across multiple business units including consumer and business
  • Together with the Senior Campaign Manager, support the maintenance of a clear schedule of creative and media activity working to resolve any issues that might arise
  • Work in collaboration with the respective stakeholders to ensure that new creative assets, including those necessary for content, digital, social, online, and retail channels, are produced that are fit for purpose and are being designed to maximise channel opportunity
  • Work closely with other members of team to provide relevant updates on new media and creative innovations and how they may be used in future campaigns
  • Working in collaboration with other relevant areas of the business on tasks (e.g. specific teams: Propositions, Sponsorship etc), turn requests for Brand and Marketing support into sharp effective consumer briefs, built on customer insight and execute brilliantly to deliver against both commercial and Brand KPIs. Make VMO2 famous and help us achieve our goal of being the no.1 broadband, TV, and telco network
  • Work closely with our Data, Insight and Analytics teams to understand customer and audience insights, segmentation and post campaign reviews in order to optimise present and future marketing activity
  • Day-to-day creative and media agency management.
  • Develop timing and budget plans as well as identifying all the key milestones required including the strategic response the brief, the creative response to brief, the 360 comms plan and key approval stages
  • Partnering with Customer Marketing team on key campaign spikes
  • Supporting the wider team administratively when required; supporting the Social & Content lead when required, supporting your line manager generally and on ad hoc tasks

 

What We Need from You:

  • Two or more years of experience working in an advertising or marketing function, either agency-side or brand-side; or you have worked in the creative services
  • A strong understanding of ATL and digital media – particularly TV, OOH, Press, Radio, Social, Online video
  • An understanding of BTL marketing activity, with an emphasis on Customer communications such as email and SMS and how it supports wider ATL activity
  • Experienced in managing multiple stakeholders and multiple projects at any one time, organisational and project management experience is essential
  • Creative and media agency management experience and know how to inspire the best possible performance from them
