What do the team do?

 

The Data, Insight and Analytics team sits in Marketing and uses market intelligence and customer data to identify actionable opportunities to make better decisions for the business and our customers.

 

The Insight team generates consumer and SMB (small and medium businesses) insights to inform and influence the marketing strategy, make faster and better decisions, put the customer at the centre of all business activities to deliver the O2 Customer Led- Mobile First strategy.

 

How will you fit into this?

 

You will have the opportunity to be part of the Data, Insight & Analytics function working on some challenging and fascinating problems in a data and insight rich environment creating a centre of excellence to power decision making across O2.

 

This role sits as a key part of the Brand and Communications research team within DI&A.

 

Some of the more specific responsibilities:

 

  • Act as the voice of the customer (consumer and business) at a senior leadership level, providing strategic direction for the brand, through the design, management, and delivery of a continuous research programme
  • Operate as an expert in your field to influence decision-making, providing consultation and guidance on all aspects of brand research to stakeholders across Brand & Marcomms, Strategy & Planning and our media agency partners
  • Work closely with all members of the Brand Research team and collaboratively across the wider Data Insight & Analytics (DI&A) team
  • Be part of a wider research team and look for opportunities to join up multiple sources of information to interpret and articulate our brand story

 

What we need from you:

 

  • Passion for insight: a strong belief that insight can drive commercial differentiation and become a strategic, competitive advantage – and the ability to make it happen
  • Experience of leading, developing and managing continuous tracking studies
  • Proficient at running data analysis software, such as Survey Reporter, and analysing and interrogating data to uncover the story and key nuggets of insight
  • Storyteller: ability to identify the signal from the noise and build strong and compelling narratives
  • Excellent communications skills: ability to build robust, credible and highly effective relationships with senior stakeholders, developing sound knowledge of strategies and priorities
  • Experience in managing third party agencies and associated budget
  • Generally curious with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated: ability to take initiative and demonstrate proactivity.
  • Excellent numeracy and an analytical mind set
  • Excellent planning and organising skills and the ability to work to deadlines in a pressured environment
  • Can juggle different demands on time
