What will you do:

The candidate´s primary task is to manage information security while implementing up-to date solutions across the IT Security Infrastructure. Responsibilities include leadership in architecture, design, administration and implementation of one of the Mapfre Company Global Security Hardware & Software Infrastructure located in Miami Florida. 



More specifically:

•    Coordinate/Assign Infosec personnel for changes related to the Security Infrastructure. 

•    Responsible for the supervision of a team dedicated to the information security of Mapfre, the team is a mixed between personnel in the US and Brazil.

•    Create the objectives of the team and evaluate the performance of every member of the team.

•    Update equipment and software in order to provide a proficient and secure environment committed to the business growth of MAPFRE

•    Ensure assigned Infosec tasks/activities are defined and comply with Infosec policies in order to accomplish targeted service objectives

•    Oversee the security Infrastructure (across all sites) to maintain integrity, capacity, reliability, and availability. This includes ensuring the performance levels of Security Infrastructure in order to meet business requirements and maintain Service Level Agreements

•    Supervise the installation/testing of Security related hardware/software as necessary and in accordance with SLAs, procedures, and software licensing conditions.

•    Facilitate the implementation of best security practices. 

•    Ensure all activities/implementations from the Security Department adhere to the industry best security practices.

•    Coordinate and lead Infosec Project Management activities. This includes providing timeliness and targeted objectives with other Department Leadership personnel.

•    Supervise Incident, Change and Problem management while meeting agreed SLAs.

•    Support new security projects during the whole project lifecycle.

•    Oversee all aspects of Security department operations including USA and Brazil security infrastructure.

•    Establish and maintain security standards and procedures.

•    Determine, recommend, and implement hardware and software upgrades for security tools and security hardware infrastructure.

•    Plan and develop Disaster Recovery procedures.

•    Coordination of the technical staff in order to start up the DR environment for test and real scenarios.

•    Create teamwork collaboration among different departments.

•    Encourage good communication between employees and management.

•    Ultimate responsible for the performance of the infosec team dedicated to Mapfre.



We look for: 


•    +5 years of relevant work experience as Security management.

•    +7 years working in security areas.

•    +4 years managing technical staff, assigning and organizing tasks, and overseeing projects implementation.

•    Project management and project design experience.

•    Bachelor's degree in a relevant IT/Informatics subject.

•    Certification in Security and network infrastructure (Checkpoint CCSE, CCNA, Other security vendors).

•    Training in information security, (CEH, ISO 27001, CISSP, CISM).
