Telefónica Tech's AI of Things is Telefónica's unit that helps its B2B customers in their digital transformation process by unifying the capabilities of IoT, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data and Blockchain. We offer an integrated value proposition to improve customer business, by enabling revenue growth, enhancing operational efficiency and improving sustainability




We aim to create a global team with cross-functional technical and business skill-sets in the challenging and dynamic Digital Transformation environment. This team will be focused in Product management within the Internet of Things and Big data arena. The team has presence across many industries, with extensive traction and use cases in Energy and Utilities, Automotive, Security, Finance, Logistic Transportation, etc.

Customers will count on our capabilities to understand their business needs and leverage IoT and Big data technologies to build solutions that can address them, combining the physical world of sensors, machines, industrial processes, places, people, and the digital world of software, IoT platforms and data.

Particularly in IoT and Big Data Solutions, we aim to create end to end solutions combining the different elements of our AI of Things value proposition: IoT devices, connectivity, platform and AI/Analytics, combining both partner ecosystem solutions with internal AI capabilities. Within the Smart Metering and Utilities area, we are focused on delivering solutions for our b2b customers in 3 domains: water, electricity and gas.




Within the Smart Metering and Utilities solutions, you will, in coordination with the rest of the product team:


  • Understand utilities market customer needs
  • Benchmark of solutions and technologies in the market
  • Define and execute the smart metering value proposition and roadmap
  • Manage smart metering partner ecosystem
  • Build product documentation: value proposition, pricing, standard offers
  • Support/Enable efficient smart metering operating model
  • Provide expert solution support to other units and customers - Support to business development of flagship deals. Execute Smart Metering trainings/demos
  • Define and be accountable for smart metering key kpis (launches, #units, customers, revenues)

To be successful in the role, it is required to have:

  • Technical expertise in smart metering and energy solutions
  • Highly developed people skills to collaborate in a large organization and address many stakeholders across the organization.
  • Ability to interact directly with customers at the executive level, translating market and customer needs into actionable product plans with high quality.
  • Effective communication and advanced presentation skills including demonstrated experience with executive level customer presentations.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong project management skills to execute on roadmap, moving a project from inception to completion.
  • The ability to work on a team and independently on multiple projects.




  • Bachelor degree, Engineering, Business Management or similar




  • English (High level)
  • Spanish (High level)




  • Min 5 years’ experience in either product management or business development roles
  • Experience in Energy/Utilities domains
  • Experience in the IoT or Big data domains
