The TTech Business Development Manager (BDM) executes the sales strategy for the digital services of Telefonica IoT Big Data TECH and drives the achievement of its business sales targets.
The main objective of the TTech BDM is to generate sales leads and accelerate the conversion of leads, providing specialised support from the IoT&BD unit to the sales force of the Telefónica Operating Business (OB), by collaborating with the Specialist Sales teams of the OB throughout the entire sales process.
The geographical scope of this role covers Offnet markets, with a special focus on France.
Will work in coordination with the sales force / Sales Specialists of each of the OBs to ensure optimal E2E management of opportunities, with the following functions at each stage of the sales process:

  • Collaborate with the Product, Operations and local Sales teams in identifying new products and services (based on customer needs).
  • Execution of digital commercial plans, analysing business dynamics and implementing corrective actions if necessary.
  • Preparation of technical and commercial documentation in cooperation with the Product and/or Operational teams for use in training and knowledge transfer initiatives in the internal areas of Telefónica and the OBs.
  • Disseminate and replicate success stories.
  • Generate and monitor progress reports on commercial activity on a regular basis and at the request of commercial leaders.



IoT architectures and solutions.
High knowledge of the M2M / IoT market, trends and players, and its products, technologies and tools.
Knowledge in architecture, implementation, deployment, migration and automation in virtualised environments.
Knowledge of LPWA technologies, managed connectivity (Jasper, Smart, etc.), E2E IoT solutions (Smartcities, Energy Efficiency, Mobility, etc.), IoT platforms (Thingworx, Azure, AWS, Predix, etc.).
IoT communications in licensed bands (NBIoT, LPWA, LTE and 5G), as well as other unlicensed technologies (Zigbee, RFID, Wifi, Bluetooh, LoRa, NFC, Sigfox, ...).
Knowledge of advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, and big data technologies. 
Knowledge of security and cloud solutions associated with M2M deployment.
High level of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel and Word).
User-level knowledge of Salesforce.

Clear business and commercial acumen.
Skilled in the use and knowledge of new technologies. 




Minimum 3 years' experience in consultative selling of IoT & BD solutions and services.
Proven experience in implementation of IoT & Big Data projects.
Ability to evaluate technical and functional specifications within the customer requirements development process.
Experience in customer consulting, performing technical assessments on already implemented solutions and identifying required enhancements. 




Essential: French (Native or Bilinguall)
Desirable: Spanish and / or English (fluent)
