Product Manager 


Connectivity & Business Innovation area is part of Telefonica’s Global Innovation Unit. Our objective is developing new connectivity and infrastructure services that empower Telefónica's position in digitalization through new waves of technology innovation.


Products in our portfolio target strategic areas for Telefonica with relevant potential underlying business and with high tech complexity. The development of these new products is managed as internal startups with a dedicated team that covers the end to end of the product (service design, business and technical development) from initial ideation stages to operational delivery to a business area - normally with a delivery window from launch to delivery of two years.


We are a highly motivated multidisciplinary team with startup mentality completely focused on solving complex problems and building things with great business upside.



Enhance current portfolio or build new services leveraging the technical/business breakthroughs coming from Telefónica’s network that is completely changing how some services are built, delivered, and consumed. The scope of work included from current capabilities and beyond such as Quality of Service, Network information, Blockchain, and new requests from Metaverse. By joining the team, you will push Telefonica’s position in this new ecosystem.


Specifically, the candidate will work with a multidisciplinary team to identify relevant opportunities for Telefonica, define product requirements and deliver them to the OBs to create and capture new value with the aim of have scalable and breakthrough services that could succeed commercially.


  • Embodiment of the Product strategy in NaaS Services that leads, to offer the best customer experience and provide differentiation levers in our markets for the OBs.
  • Reach a consensus in the Roadmap prioritization process with OBs, strategic areas within Telefónica, colleagues from Connectivity Innovation and other areas involved.
  • Understand the technical complexities of the network ecosystem in every OB to generate services for business value with a global perspective
  • Discover and define use cases for new potential NaaS Services 
  • Own the E2E of the NaaS Services, including managing the delivery pipelines with the OBs
  • Prepare materials and be ready to present informs to C-level inside Telefonica
  • Support business development / commercial teams on consultative sales to end clients and partners
  • Documentation of all related work to ensure knowledge sharing with all the team
  • Stakeholder management – Reporting, communication and influencing other areas of Telefonica global and local countries, generating the necessary support documentation (presentations, reports, dashboards, etc.)
  • Communicate and accompany the OBs to ensure the implementation of the NaaS Services that the candidate will manage in a timely manner
  • Once the service/functionality is defined, the relationship with Technology (CTO and GCTIO) must be coordinated to guarantee the correct implementation in the expected time frame, managing local changes, new requests, and solutions to implementation problems.
  • Teamwork and flexibility: management of the implementation of services will require convey the requirements and the UX to be built within the agreed deadlines. There are continuous situations to be resolved: technical implementation problems, last-minute changes (by OBs or Global), budget constraints, ambitious scope, etc.



  • Define new products following an innovation approach and based on new generation technologies
  • Work as a startup maximizing output with contained resources
  • Be able to manage the coordination of different lines of work
  • Looking for the impact on operational processes to improve and simplify them



Preferably MSc/BSc degree in Computer Science, Telecommunication Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related technical field



  • Experience in product development and managing product delivery pipelines
  • Any Network or Telco experience will be valued: network protocols, 5G, radio, transportation
  • Any Product Management previous experience will be valued: launching new products/services, understand OBs markets, Deliver and go to market strategies
  • Manage uncertainty and can navigate the unknown
  • Implements and manages agile way of working, experience with Digital Product Development methodologies (eg Agile and Design Thinking)
  • Resilient, not always everything ends as expected!
  • Teamwork, enjoy working together and open to share ideas/support



  • +4 years of experience in product management
  • Startup background also positively valued
  • Driven, self-motivated, results oriented: proved experiences



  • Fluent in Spanish and English.
  • Portuguese or German will be valued.
