AREA DESCRIPTION

 

The Device Development Center (DDC) position offered will be part of the fixed access team at Madrid (Spain) of the Chief Technology and information Office of Telefónica. The group is a team of fixes access engineers leading the definition of the development of all the fixed devices available for all Telefónica OBs

 

 

MAIN ACTIVITIES AND OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION

 

The objectives of the position offered are:

 

  • Designing the use case needed to take full advantage of all the capabilities of the NaaS

 

  • Identification of business requirements related with virtualization and cloudification to improve the use of all the information available in Telefónica devices and HaaC platform.

 

  • Identification of partners and developers to identify which are the most useful and demanded APIs.

 

  • Analyze the feasibility of implementing the new APIs on client devices. 

 

  • Evolution of the actual APIs.

 

  • Market evaluation and testing for products and vendors applicable to virtualization of the client devices.

 

  • Collaboration to start production and commercial launch of the service in Spain, Brazil, DE, and UK

 

  • Collaboration in the design activities and end-to-end developments and their integration in the network.

 

  • Collaboration in the architecture proposal

 

  • Planning and ensure the compliance with the times of the implementation of the new APIs in the in the client device.

 

  • Testing the APIs executed over the client devices.

 

 

 

 

EDUCATION REQUIRED

 

  • MsC in Computer Science, Telecommunication, Networking or any related fields.

 

 

SPECIALS SKILLS 

 

  • Ability to work in a multinational and multicultural environment.

 

  • Strong verbal, visual, and written communication skills.

 

  • Capability to understand business requirements and convert into technological requirements.

 

  • Capability to interact with providers and integrators to run evaluation processes.

 

  • Capability to communicate at different levels (directors, engineers, …) to disseminate architecture propositions.

 

  • Project management capabilities

 

  • Dynamic attitude, self-learner and proactive.

 

 

TECHNICAL SKILLS

 

  • Strong knowledge in the area of home network specifications and standards.

 

  • Strong knowledge in the area of home device technology

 

  • Strong knowledge in WiFi technology

 

  • Strong knowledge in cloud technology (AZURE)

 

  • Knowledge of systems and service platforms

 

  • Knowledge of monitoring technology and zero-touch operation

 

  • Knowledge of integration and API technology

 

  • Knowledge of public cloud services and cloud architecture

 

  • Ability to establish test plans to ensure the proper functioning of the APIs and their application on client devices.

 

LANGUAGES

 

  • English language is mandatory.

 

  • Portuguese and German will be considered.
