Area description

 

The Telefonica CTO - Digital Consumer and Data Office unit builds products mainly for B2C space, related to the following areas: home computing, mobile/web channels, TV, digital assistants, data and home communications. We work to build new and innovative products and to ease the access to all the services that Telefónica offers.

 

We’re currently searching for an experienced program manager to join us to organize and coordinate different projects. You will guide the teams on using agile practices and principles to deliver high quality products and contributing to the advancement and improvement of agile practices within the organization.

 

You will work closely with other teams (engineering, product, delivery teams…) across the organization. This role requires the ability to effectively communicate with executive management on status, risks, and mitigations. A successful candidate will have a strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as, great agile project management and communication competencies.

Main duties & responsibilities

  • Focus on guiding the teams towards improving the way they work
  • Assist in team development by removing roadblocks to their work, mentoring them.
  • Ensure cross-team coordination
  • Help in the implementation of agile projects
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
  • Facilitate agile ceremonias

 

Education required

  • Computer Science, Telecommunication Engineer, etc.

Technical knowledge

  • At least 3 years experience working in an agile environment, preferably in a variety of situations (Scrum, kanban...)
  • Knowledge of the software development life cycle.
  • Agile Practitioner Certification (SAFe, PMI-ACP, Scrum, etc.)
  • JIRA experience

 

Profesional experience

  • 3+ years of experience
