Organisational Design & Effectiveness Specialist

Design, develop, recommend and deliver new operating model and organisational designs that better assess, align, develop and utilise our people capability.

Align these solutions with business strategic goals and its evolution, challenging business leaders with new approaches, scenarios, cases for transformation and/or ways of working, and demonstrating a specialist level of OD and change expertise for multiple function operating model redesigns.


Main duties & responsibilities

  • Analyse and assess business structures, processes, accountabilities and the utilization of resources, through quantitative / qualitative research and data analysis to arrive at valid conclusions, recommendations, and plans of action, that improve organisational effectiveness and business impact.

  • Work with business and functional leaders to identify / assess organisational opportunities and assure the delivery of specific organisation design recommendations, projects and processes, that span multiple functions.

  • Define and deliver OD interventions to transform our business units, by addressing/resolving potential and existing challenges / barriers in operating model, and increasing cross-functionality and interdepartmental cooperation.

  • Apply deep specialist knowledge to provide OD and change expertise to implement People transformation projects, working cross-functionally with other HR experts.

  • Maintain a consistent and well-informed organisational data (departments, job roles, job classification…), aligned with governance and reporting needs in order to drive visibility and decision making of OD changes involving executive and non-executive population.


Professional experience:

  • Significant organisational design experience and business transformation / change deployed in large complex organisations (>4 years aprox. in similar roles).

  • Experience in setting up plans and usage of data analytics to generate insights, recommendations, and proposals.

  • Working in a results-driven and project-oriented environment that requires time planning and management, produce deliverables, meet deadlines, work on several parallel projects, and adapt to interruptions and emerging priorities.

  • Previous experience in a related industry, technological and digital ecosystems.

  • Experience of delivering successful transformation and improvement programmes and strategies.

  • Experience in corporate roles and multi-legal entity contexts preferred but not required.

  • Management consultancy experience preferred but not required.

  • Nice to have: experience working in agile environments, digital companies and joint ventures.


Specific skills:

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the execution of strategic and operational OD and change, with the ability to move between strategy and execution. You will also need to demonstrate a strong understanding on how business goals are enabled through effective organisational design and deployment of new ways of working and staff resources optimisation.

  • Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking applied to OD expertise.

  • Well-organized with the ability to handle several projects/clients simultaneously. Strong project management skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent ability to manage relationships and senior business partnering.

  • Strong storytelling and communication skills to articulate the proposals and scenarios, based on data where appropriate and applying logic to analyse options that meet business goals.

  • Collaborative skills and ability to work independently, operate effectively and thrive in a matrix team environment with multiple stakeholders – across functions, business units / geographies and levels of seniority.

  • Flexibility and capability to perform in complex situations and deal effectively with ambiguity and change.

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft applications (MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Planner) and other collaborative tools (Miro, Mural, Trello…)

  • Knowledge of HR management trends / practices and HRMS solutions (SuccessFactors as a plus).

  • Knowledge of jobs and roles architecture, competency models and career paths

  • Knowledge of job valuation / levelling market methodologies (WTW as a plus).

  • Nice to have: reward and compensation notions (market positioning, models, processes…).

  • Nice to have: agility mindset, knowledge of agile working frameworks (at team level and at scale) and facilitation skills.



  • Fluent in Spanish and English essential for this role.

  • Portuguese and/or German is a plus.



  • Ideally located in Madrid.


Education required:

  • University Degree in organizational development, industrial/organisational psychology, engineering, or business administration preferred.

  • Undergraduate/Graduate Studies in new technologies or digital transformation would be a plus.
