Area description 

Belonging to the Strategy and Governance area and supporting globally the Multinationals segment within Telefonica group as part of TGS. We serve the top Telefonica customers in our footprint, collaborating with all OBs and other business units in the group.

 

Mission 

The Market Intelligence & Transformation Analyst is a key role to deliver the needed commercial intelligence and build compelling analysis to support the business and the decision-making process across the MNCs unit to drive growth based on market data findings and insights.

 

This position also provides expertise to define & implement consolidation requirements and processes to monitor MNCs performance in the organization, as well as knowledge to generate new opportunities and drive growth.

 

The ideal candidate has a strong background in business analytics and experience working with data science/analytics teams to identify, define and manage data sources, processes to develop insights, and deliver competitive advantage.

 

This role must ensure that all global and local teams work together as an aligned and joined up unit:

  1. Leadership to wider virtual team to share and implement best practices

  2. Stakeholder management and point of contact for sales governance related tasks from commercial point of view at account and commercial region level

 

 

Main activities & responsabilities

  • Develop and implement data visualizations that provide comprehensive market intelligence by regions, segments or business teams

  • Develop and implement data extraction, transformation and loading processes

  • Define data quality optimization strategies

  • Identify and define new process improvement opportunities

  • Provide technical information to TGS units on the use of Data Analytics in the MNCs field to generate value in commercial activity

  • Assess the quality and accuracy of available internal data as well as new sources of external information (D&B, Pivotal IQ, Open Data)

  • Develop, together with the local and global BI and business planning units, a community of high-impact use cases and collaborate in the implementation and assurance of results

  • Identify new advanced analytics technologies that best fit the needs of the B2B organization

  • Enable and train the MNCs community, allowing them to achieve process autonomy

  • Precise analysis of data sets using algorithms and the latest AI technologies, as well as performing data queries to business intelligence information systems in their different structured and unstructured database technologies (SQL, MongodB, Cassandra, etc.)

  • Deep learning and machine learning techniques for text mining applications, cluster analysis, recommendation analysis, outlier detection, predictive analysis or similarity searches, as well as different modeling techniques that help transform the MNCs segment

  • Identify, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets

  • Work with other areas to prioritize business and information needs

 

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of progressive business experience in Telefónica with strong focus on Commercial Planning, Business Analytics and Cross Functional projects

  • 3-5+ experience in market research, market intelligence, market sizing, clusterization and segmentation, business models in Corporate B2B markets

  • Bachelor’s degree in quantitative discipline: Engineering, Computer Science or Maths

  • Master’s degree in Data Science

  • Ability to translate complex issues into clear communications with concise action plans

  • Strong financial, analytical, problem-solving and communication skills. Data-driven decision making and experience analyzing large amounts of data.

  • Function as a key business partner to understand business needs and operationalize into analytical projects

  • Experience working with global, multi-cultural and high-performance teams

  • Visualization Tools (PowerBI, Salesforce Tableau...)

  • Python, HTML, JS, CSS

  • Structured Data Base (SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL) y Non-Structured (MongoDB, Cassandra) entre otras

  • Machine Learning: Design, Development & implementation

  • Excel, Access

 

Languages

  • Mandatory: English and Spanish: fluent (C1)
