The position belongs to the “Spain, UK & RoW Commercial Channel” in our Corporate Solutions Business Unit, with the responsibility to grow revenues in a profitable way, providing international and global services to end customers, directly or through other Telefonica's OBs..

 

What's the purpose of the role?

The main objective of the INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER is to promote the increase in sales and revenues of TGS Services through the Telefónica Spain operating business.

 

Will be responsible for identifying and built growth opportunities with Telefonica Spain customers for TGS international services, focusing on Connectivity, IT and Digital solutions, managing the commercial relationship with Telefonica Spain concerning International businesses and supporting sales & presales teams

 

What about the responsilities?

  • Building awareness, understanding, and prospecting capability within the Telefonica Spain account teams to identify and uncover International opportunities.
  • Activate sales through Telefónica Spain to generate more business, with knowledge of the ICT international markets, with special focus in Connectivity (WAN/SDWAN, LAN/WLAN), Cloud & Security solutions.
  • Coordinate the relationship with Telefónica Spain sales units, with participation in its committees and providing commercial support (accompanying Telefonica Spain account managers in their meetings with end customers).
  • Responsible for the generation of funnel, sales and revenue of TGS with Telefónica Spain customers
  • Owning and leading new international business opportunities from qualification through to deal closure, including design & quotation of the most relevant opportunities
  • Manage tax, legal and regulatory aspects necessary in the development of international projects, ensuring the viability of the business in all its areas.
  • Working with internal stakeholders to set the strategy and priorities for development of the International Services portfolio, and to ensure alignment with other capabilities required to deliver an end-2-end solution for enterprise customers
  • Relate with TGS partners and suppliers that are involved in activities with Telefónica Spain.
  • Capturing customer insight and influencing the product roadmap so that we develop solutions and services that challenge the market and exceed expectations

 

What do we need?

  • Proven track record of delivering to an individual sales target
  • Experience of successfully selling Connectivity (WAN, SDWAN, LAN/WLAN), Security and Cloud solutions in multicountry scenarios.
  • Technical knowledge in communication and voice international services at consultative selling level.
  • Previous experience at Presales, leading the response to RFPs will be highly valued
  • Effective and confident engagements at CxO level and the ability to clearly articulate business benefits driven from technical solutions.
  • Knowledge in foreign trade with the ability to manage international tax and regulatory concepts
  • Proven ability for managing virtual teams from across multiple disciples
  • Peer contacts in Partners – to align opportunity management

 

Education

  •  Degree on a technical career such as Telco engineering, Computer science, etc.
  • Professional vendor level Certifications (sales specialist & design)
  • MBA would be a plus
  • English and Spanish excellent level (oral and written) and highly valuable third language (French, Italian or Portuguese)

  • Accustomed to working on his own initiative and within a team environment
  • Strong commercial profile oriented to sales and customer centric
  • Highly motivated and able to perform under pressure
