Area Description

Vendor management is a transversal area within TGS, responsible of managing the relationship with our providers, both on the economic level and strategic discussions, as well as by giving support to the operational areas and business units.

 

Vendor Management strongly believes that automation is the key aspect to move forward in terms of data quality, economic control, cost/time efficiency and getting the best of the team, so it is currently inmerse and advanced in a deep and broad digitalization process with all its members on board and with this same objective.

 

Mission

We are looking for a proactive, versatile, and creative candidate to join the vendor management area with the aim of contributing to the automation of the different internal processes and be the reference and leader for the area digitalization.

 

The candidate will have to understand the map of current systems and tools that support the vendor management team and propose improvements, evolutions, or changes that will contribute to the digital evolution plan of the area.

 

The candidate will have to understand the different stakeholders needs and transform them into different developments, small ones autonomously done, or bigger ones in coordination with IT or Software providers.

 

We are looking for a practical person, with knowledge and experience in the use of APIs, integrations, data transformation and with an approach to getting their hands dirty and prototyping solutions.

 

The candidate also will be responsible of the development and maintenance of the main automation solution of the area as well as any other automation requirement that may arise.

 

The candidate will as well manage the development team, prioritizing the requirements received by the different stakeholders.

 

Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

  • The candidate will act as an evangelist within the team, developing the internal vision of Vendor Management, applying his/her skill and knowledge to solve inefficiencies, applying the improvements that technologies allow in the fields of data quality, document reconciliation, analysis of prices, statistical prediction techniques and data visualization, APIfication of relationships with suppliers, integrations between systems, automation of manual activities, etc.
  • Responsibility of developing PRIME, an in-house developed tool (web application), that is the core solution of automation in the area.
  • Provide analysis and identify suitable processes of being automated

 

Basic Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT.
  • At least 3 years of experience managing development teams.
  • High level experience in JAVA 8, HTML/XHTML, PostgreSQL, Oracle
  • DevOps knowledge, being able to deploy solutions and maintain Wildfly/JBoss in UNIX environments.
  • Knowledge of REST APIs.
  • Capacity to identify suitable processes of being automated and prepare technical solution.
  • Spanish and English, high level spoken and written

 

Desire Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience:

  • Knowledge of Liferay 7.X Framework
  • Knowledge of Java Server Faces and Primefaces
