AREA DESCRIPTION: As part of Corporate Treasury, the Digital Collections Area is responsible for the definition, implementation, deployment and monitoring of a new digital collection framework, aimed to create a unique and common model for digital payments & collections throughout the Group, in order to avoid currently existing fragmentation, to ensure payment security obligations and best practises in the operating businesses, and with a clear focus on bank account rationalization driven by a need to reduce costs, increase control and enable central governance on bank relationships.



Reporting into the Corporate Treasury area, the candidate will define and track the business goals of the area, that tend to boost online sales and reduce collections costs by means of digitalisation; will be responsible for designing, presenting and defending business plans and strategies to promote the attainments of goals with regard to collections made by digital methods of payment across Telefonica Group. The candidate will work with local teams (commercial, finance and risk/fraud) in different markets to implement an cost-effective model to control, track and optimise Key Performance Indicators (KPI) in digital collections; will gather, analyse and interpret external and internal data; will write reports and presentations to explain the KPI evolution and achievements; and will advise, mentor and train local teams on the best tools, services and mechanisms to control and mitigate fraud and to improve payment acceptance rates.




* Defines, in close collaboration with finance, commercial and risk areas in the different markets, the business plans & monitoring models to effectively control and optimise Key Performance Indicators on Digital Collections.
* Keeps an active and close relationship with the main stakeholders in the different operating businesses, providing expert advice and help when needed.
* Gathers, analyzes and interprets external and internal data and writes reports or designs presentations in PowerPoint to highlight results and achievements (for internal and external audience)
* Monitors the performance of deployed projects, and designs the most convenient rules/policies to improve it on a per country basis.
* Schedules and leads recurring meetings with the main stakeholders on a per country basis, and clearly communicates the performance of the model, gathering feedback to improve it.
* Establishes cost parameters and manage the overall P&L of the area
* Maintains a forecast and targeting savings attainment plan.




* High degree in business, management, or related field
* Knowledge of analysing big volumes of data and identifying patterns and behaviours 
* Proven ability with financial and budgetary processes
* Knowledge/experience in the card payment ecosystem would be much appreciated


EXPERIENCE: At least 4 years in the following areas:


- Proven experience as business manager or similar role
- Experience in the card payment industry wold be much appreciated.




  • Analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities;
  • Effective at communicating complex ideas in an effective and easy to understand way;
  • High capacity to learn and adapt to change and flexibility skills;
  • Thorough understanding of diverse business processes and strategy development;
  • Good understanding of research methods and data analysis techniques.




* Excellent knowledge of MS Office, databases and information systems
* Knowledge of Card Payment ecosystem (services and infrastructure) would be much appreciated




  • Spanish and English (strong skills, spoken and written on a business level)
  • Portuguese (nice to have)
