Functional Architecture team is part of the global IT Architecture group. The team is made up of IT and Telecommunications engineers who lead the definition of architectural guidelines and support the transformation programs at the Telefónica Group level aimed at responding to the new OBs needs, new market trends and getting zero-touch operational processes.

 

The required profile is BSS functional architect and will have the following responsibilities within the team, who will be responsible for designing and managing the functional architecture of business information systems to guarantee the proper operational performance and the evolution for new market challenges.

 

The objectives of the position offered are:

  • Design of Functional Architectures: Definition of system architecture maps, focused on BSS (Business Support Systems), key components and the relationship and flows between them.
  • Technology Selection: Evaluate and select the appropriate technologies and solutions to meet the needs of the organization.
  • Standards Development: Establish guidelines to ensure consistency across all projects.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve functional issues, such as data inconsistences, performance problems or process inefficiencies.
  • Support and Orientation: Provide guidance and support to other team members from OBs about functional architectures. Working together with the OB’s teams in the implementation of new architectures, taking in account their specifics need.

  • Understanding of business requirements and convert into technological architectures.
  • Ability to interact with providers and integrators to run evaluation processes.
  • Skills to communicate at different levels (directors, engineers, …) to disseminate architecture propositions.
  • Project management experience to keep track of transformation programs.
  • Dynamic attitude, self-learner and proactive.
  • Ability to manage differences to achieve common goals and effectively manage teams.
  • Passion to continuously explore current and new technologies, tools, and paradigms with the goal to achieve the best or better way of working

 

Expertice &  Technical Knowledge

  • Functional Architecture design
  • Knowledge of BSS Telco Systems (Commerce, CRMs, Ordering, Billing, Logistic, etc)
  • Knowledge in Catalog Systems and cataloguing processes
  • Knowledge of TMForum Framework
  • APIs Definition: design, contracts, management, lifecycle…
  • Agile, collaboration, and project management practices and tools

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of TOGAF
  • CI/CD, testing and DevOps.
  • Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases.
  • General AI concepts, tools and practices.
  • Knowledge of public cloud services and cloud architecture.
  • Ability to understand network architectures and protocols.
