WHAT DO WE DO ON THE TELEFONICA TECH SALES TEAM?

 

The objective of these local Telefonica Tech resources in Germany is to establish a specialized and highly qualified sales and presales force with a high degree of knowledge of the TTech Cloud product portfolio, to identify and develop business opportunities based on Telefonica Tech Cloud value proposition. These are, therefore, local sales support profiles, complementing the TELEFONICA GERMANY local commercial capabilities to generate opportunities and boost sales of cloud services in all segments.

 

The TTech Sales Specialists will be part of the Telefonica Tech Cloud Commercial unit that leads TTECH Cloud commercial strategy within the Telefonica group and will be responsible for achieving the expected business results for Cloud services in Germany.

 

The main objective of a TTech Sales Specialists is the generation of business opportunities and acceleration of the conversion of these opportunities in sales, providing specialised support to the local sales teams of the OBs and this particular case, supporting Telefonica Germany sales teams, throughout the entire commercial process.

 

The TTech Sales Specialist provides an expert view and support of the solutions comprised in the Telefonica Tech Cloud value proposition. 

 

WHAT WOULD BE YOUR MAIN RESPONSABILITIES?

 

In your day to day it will be usual to face tasks of the following type:

 

The TTech Sales Specialists will work in coordination with the Telefonica Germany sales and sales specialist teams to ensure optimal E2E management of the opportunities. Their functions being the following in each of the stages of the sales process:

 

Stage: Generation of the opportunity & high level design of the solution

 

  • Generate funnel of cloud products and services and commercial momentum, identifying opportunities through the different channels and sales teams of the different segments of Telefonica Germany.
  • Identify the key stakeholders within the client, beyond those traditionally contacted by the local commercial team (IT, procurement or core communications).
  • Prepare commercial and product presentations to support meetings with customers and propose cloud services using an industry value proposition approach.
  • Accompany the local account manager of Telefonica Germany during the meeting and co-lead the sales process under a consultative approach that allows understanding the client's needs and adapting the Telefónica proposal towards personalised solutions that satisfy those needs

 

Stage: High-level design or proposal of the cloud solution that meets the needs identified in the client.

  • Interact with the local and global Marketing and Engineering teams of TTech Cloud and Telefonica Germany to identify the key components of the solution.
  • Provide support to local business and operations areas and TTech Cloud for the preparation of proofs of concept, demos of cloud services that help progress with the opportunity and offer

 

Stage: Preparation of the Offer

 

  • Provide the necessary information on the opportunity (customer information, problem or needs to be covered, proposed solution, etc.) to the Engineering area in charge of preparing the offer in each case.
  • Co-lead the presentation of the technical and economic offer of the solution to the client together with the commercial team of Telefonica Germany, leveraging their role as cloud specialist in the presentation or meeting with the client.
  • Co-lead the iterative process of negotiation with the client, collaborating with the realization of technical and economic adjustments to the proposal / offer presented as required by the client.
  • Other cross- activities
  • Collaborate with the product, operations areas as well as the German sales team to identify new market needs (products and services) based on customers’ needs.
  • Implementation of the local cloud business plans, tracking and assessing progress and implementing corrective actions if necessary.
  • Preparation of technical and commercial documentation to be used in training workshops for the local Telefonica Germany sales, presales and operations teams.
  • Share among the commercial areas and replicate success stories.
  • Tracking commercial progress and generate reports on business activity on a regular basis and at the request of business leaders.

 

AND FOR THAT, WE THINK IT WOULD BE IDEAL FOR YOU TO HAVE...

 

  • Degree or Higher Engineering in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Industrial or similar.
  • Very valuable MBA or Specialization in Telecommunications, Marketing, Business or Digital Services.
  • Specific technical skills
  • Technical knowledge of data network services (MPLS, SDN, LAN, WIFI, UCC)
  • Knowledge of Cloud environments AWS, Azure and Google Cloud will be highly valued
  • Experience in sales of Data center managed services and cloud migration projects will be valued
  • Results and customer oriented with a consultative commercial approach
  • Analytical and innovative skills to creatively find solutions for clients' needs.
  •  Basic financial knowledge to build a business case and analyse the profitability of the projects
  • Ability to assess potential business risks due to our clients' requirements and to balance with Telefónica's interests to win new business.
  • Ability to involve people from different departments and levels within the organization
  • Communication skills: Active listening and ability to communicate and share ideas with customers, peers and other people within the organization.
  • Ability to prepare and present commercial and basic technical documentation to an audience with high level of knowledge of cloud services.
  • Independent and proactive
