The objective of these local Telefonica Tech resources in Germany is to establish a specialized and highly qualified  presales force with a high degree of knowledge of the TTech Cloud product portfolio, to support business opportunities based on the Telefonica Tech Cloud value proposition. These are, therefore, local presales engineers profiles, complementing the TELEFONICA GERMANY local presales capabilities to generate opportunities and boost sales of cloud services in all segments.


The Pre-Sales Engineering area is a Hub of internal technical knowledge of the capabilities of Telefonica and Telefonica TECH Cloud; It also concentrates the relationship with various internal Areas of TTECH (Operations, Product, Go-to-market, Finance, Legal ...) and with external actors (technology and service partners) The TECH Cloud Pre-Sales Engineering Area is key in the Consultative relationship with Telefonica clients and accompanies the Sales and Specialist Sales specialists teams throughout the sales process.


The TTECH Pre-Sales Engineering Area is responsible for bringing technical insights to the client and adding value to the relationship with the same by Telefónica.

The TTECH Pre-Sales Engineering Area is key in communicating Telefonica TECH Cloud's value proposition to our clients.




In your day to day it will be usual to face tasks of the following type:


Stage: Evaluation and design of the solution

  • Analysis and evaluation of the customer requirements in order to define what technology and services are the most appropriate to meet their needs.
  • Evaluate the maturity of the clients' “As-Is” technological infrastructures to understand their needs and define a roadmap to accelerate the adoption of Telefonica Tech Cloud services.
  • Working closely with the TTEC Cloud sales team  to build customer proposals for the CLOUD services
  • Attend meetings with those responsible for business development and act as a technical expert
  • Manage customer expectations, detecting those needs that they may present and can in turn provide market insight for the development of new products.


Stage: Preparation of the Offer

  • Lead the specialized technical dialogue with the client, as well as with any other area that may be involved in the identification of client needs, including technology manufacturers.
  • Design the technical architecture of the final scenario of the client "To-Be", based on the needs of the user, the technical and operational characteristics of our industrialized services, as well as other limiting factors such as maximum sale price, costs and timeframes.
  • Identify technologic partners and solutions that are suited to the cloud needs of the customers. Determine costs, negotiation, etc.
  • Manage the relationship with key stakeholders within Telefonica leading technology partners to work together to respond to clients' RFPs that require the design and execution of Special Projects within Telefonica TECH Cloud
  • Present Economic Technical Offers to clients together with the sales team.


Stage: Negotiation

  • Design the transition and transformation activities that clients have to execute to deploy the solutions proposed to the client.
  • Adapt the technical requirements of the clients to the technical proposal  and prepare RFP responses autonomously


Other Cross- Activities

  • Identify new capabilities needed in Telefonica Germany that allow addressing customer projects from a better position
  • Validate the technical-functional aspects of new solutions designed by the product areas for their commercialization.
  • Participate in the management of the relationship with Technological Partners, accompanying the client together with the commercial to demonstrations of the product / service.
  • Actively participate in the execution of training workshops, share success stories and identify potential customers to replicate them.
  • Becoming an advisory body for Telefonica TECH Cloud clients: information, market trends, generation of use cases, marketing forums, etc. Support clients beyond the presentation of the proposal.
  • Dialogue with the rest of the Commercial Area (Specialist Sales, go-to-market) to promote and facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experiences between teams.
  • Work under an agile methodology very focused on the achievement of objectives




  • Computer Engineering, Telecommunications or similar
  • MBA or master's degree in technical areas will be considered as a plus
  • At least 3 years of Pre-sale experience of Digital Services or Technology Consulting / Systems Infrastructures in large clients and corporations.
  • Minimum financial knowledge to develop business cases and understand the TCO associated with proposals for communications solutions. Excellent command of Excel.
  • Demonstrated experience in the activities and functions described for at least one year within Telecommunications companies.
  • Demonstrated experience in previous work in large companies with international and multicultural environments


Specific technical skills


*Technical knowledge of data network services (MPLS, SDN, LAN, WIFI, UCC)

* HP Aruba

* SDWAN solutions (Cisco Viptela and Meraki, VMWare Velocloud,  Silverpeak, Fortinet)

* Managed LAN / WLAN services

* Traffic acceleration platforms (Cisco, Riverbed, Ipanema, etc)

* Knowledge of Cloud environments AWS, Azure and Google Cloud will be highly valued




  • German Native or full professional proficiency
  • English full professional proficiency
  • Spanish (desired, not mandatory)
