Strategic Bid Consultant

Area Description:
Consultative resource to support major, complex or strategic deals across the opportunity life cycle for deals based on Telefonica’s Global ICT and Digital Portfolios, from initial opportunity identification and development through RFI/RFP response, bid presentation, due diligence and closure.
 
The role involves working closely alongside the Global Account Manager and Global Solutions Architect, to understand Customer requirements, develop win themes, advise on pursuit strategy and tailor standard Telefónica bid text or create new content to deliver high quality, compelling bid responses and presentations. To be most effective, this role should be customer facing. 
 
When not working on major bids, the role includes the creation of new content/or optimisation of existing bid collateral as well as supporting Heads of Bid Management and Presales in initiatives to ensure an efficient, agile bid process.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Advisory role for opportunity life cycle management, including development customer specific win themes and ensuring that win themes are reflected in each key bid deliverable.  
 
Communication management of deadlines, pursuit team roles and deliverables throughout the bid cycle, including scope changes, deal progress and risk management to all key stakeholders.
 
Custom content creation, delivering concise, high quality content tailored to the required audience, whether internal or customer facing and at contractual, technical or executive levels. 
 
Holding Bid Outcome Reviews after each major deal, to capture lessons learned for future opportunities, distributing, and communicating feedback within TGS.   

 

Experience & Qualifications:


•    Educated to degree level with 5+ years’ relevant experience in Opportunity & Bid management.
•    Experience in network and ICT solution and global service model definition.
•    Experience in Project Management
•    Experience in strategic consultancy firms would be an advantage
•    Qualification in APMP Foundation desirable but not essential

•    Spanish Mother Tongue, English C1 - C2 level
