What do the team do?

 

The Product & Proposition team are the people that source, develop and deliver market leading customer offers for our Consumer & SMB segments. Using customer insight to find innovative ways of meeting their current and future needs.

How will you fit into this?

 

O2’s Priority App is a leading rewards platform in the UK. You’ll be responsible for all partnerships that exist within the Priority app, ensuring that they are delivering against the engagement KPIs and objectives. This includes acquiring, managing and retaining partnerships, ensuring they contribute to delivering the wider Priority targets.

 

This also involves managing the performance of the incumbent partnerships agency, securing and running the Priority partnerships budget and line managing the Priority Partnerships Manager.

 

Some of the more specific responsibilities:

 

  • Develop (and ensure delivery against) the partner development strategy and plan for Priority (working with key business stakeholders)
  • Secure, control and utilise the Priority budget, working with Customer Marketing on which customers should receive offers (right offer, right person, right place, right time)
  • Accountable to deliver Priority targets
  • Develop and negotiate new partnerships, delivering the associated commercial and contractual terms
  • Responsible for partner relationships (incl. those managed by the Partnerships Agency)
  • Manage compliance to and performance against commercial agreements and contracts
  • Explore and drive commercial opportunities with partners to drive new revenues (e.g. through online affiliate deals)
  • Responsible for developing strong relationships internally to enable leverage of wider O2 assets to drive efficiencies and opportunities into partnerships
  • Support the wider business in delivering partnerships that assist in driving commercial benefit for propositions outside of Priority

 

What we need from you:

 

  • Extensive experience in a Partnership/ Client services role from a creative agency or media background (business development, account management or sales roles)
  • Proven experience in partner management and contract negotiations including project/ finance/ legal management, with ability to manage complex and multiple partners and projects at one time 
  • Proven track record of delivering partners and commercial outcomes / targets
  • Excellent, polished client-facing skills. In particular:
    • Able to rapidly develop a strong rapport with and understanding of the underlying objectives of prospective Priority partners
    • The skill to present O2 and Priority in a compelling way to partners, including the ability to powerfully pitch the business opportunity
  • Strategic thinking including evaluation of key trends and client results data
  • Strong understanding of the full marketing matrix, and the ability to leverage owned channel communications, as well as paid for media, in order to secure strategic partnerships
  • Proven leadership and people development experience

  • Highly commercially astute with experience in finding new revenue and cost saving opportunities through partner relationships
  • Sound financial awareness including budget control of client profitability
  • Real drive to motivate yourself and team and make things happen - to be a catalyst of/for change
  • Strong ability to manage senior stakeholders
  • Strong ability to influence and build relationships internally and externally
  • Well organised, self-motivated and client focussed
  • Possessing a highly creative, solution driven / problem-solving mentality
