About the team

 

O2 Motion is a small, dynamic team within O2 Business, which focuses on leveraging data & insight from the movement of mobile devices across the UK.

O2 Motion has unlocked the value of O2 mobile network data by building various products and services to provide insights into population movement and activity, answering business use cases with accuracy and scale, and superseding archaic current methods. This highly innovative team is 7 years old and has a strong client base of FTSE250 businesses. Key sectors include Transportation, Public Sector, Retail, Commercial Property, Leisure & Tourism and Media.

Data & Insights has seen strong growth in the last 2 years in particular, and is seen as a focus area for the business moving forwards, hence the requirement for this role.

 

About the role

 

This role is for an experienced Account Manager, with a Data & Insights background, to join the Commercial team within O2 Motion, reporting to the Head of O2 Motion in the UK. You will be working alongside the current client specialists until the end of 2021 on designated accounts, whilst you learn about the products and build client relationships.

In January 2022, you will be the sole Account Manager of c.10 existing O2 Motion accounts, responsible for the day to day account management of these from a Data & Insights perspective. These clients could exist across multiple sectors, including Transportation and Public Sector, Commercial Property, Retail, and Leisure & Tourism. Sector experience is not essential but could be helpful.

Ensuring customer satisfaction is a very important part of the role.

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for the account management of existing clients and identify new business opportunities in the assigned accounts. You will be working closely with the Enterprise account owners in developing plans and strategies which help retain and grow the revenue & TCV in the assigned accounts.
  • Day to day Account Management
  • Respond to customer queries in a timely manner
  • Keep your client accounts up-to-date with new products and services within O2 Motion, and the wider Virgin Media O2 offering
  • To identify new business opportunities within those accounts
  • To generate client case studies, working with the marketing & PR teams.
  • Development and feedback of client insights to contribute to product roadmap development
  • To organise and manage quarterly business reviews with each client
  • To manage and facilitate product training where required
  • Support the Enterprise Account Owner on Accurate Forecasting for business planning purposes
  • Manage sales admin, including raising contracts and invoicing clients where required.

 

Key skills and experience

 

  • Strong experience, and proven track record in sales driven account management
  • Solid background either working in or with Data Driven Insight Solutions
  • Experience of managing and selling to c-suite
  • A track record of achievement of revenue goals within the Data, Insight and Analytics area
  • Excellent presentation skills
