About the role

Reporting to the Head of Quality Engineering, the Test Governance Lead supports demand and resource management for the function, in addition to providing all KPI, metrics and reporting on the Test process to ensure transparency and effectiveness of our Test and Assurance policies. In addition, the Test Governance Lead will drive a culture of continual test process improvement.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a single-entry point for all test demand for all Accelerate projects and releases
  • Manage the capacity and resourcing plans of testing resources, matched to the budget
  • Own the test process improvement framework and chair the test community forum to drive a culture of continual process improvement
  • Define and own the test dashboard, metrics and reporting framework aligned to the needs of our key stakeholders.
  • Set up a mechanism to highlight the cost of quality and produce a plan to reduce over time
  • Working with the technology and business stakeholders, identify ways to measure and improve productivity with our strategic suppliers
  • Contribute to the overall direction of the Business Test and Assurance function
  • Work with multiple Delivery teams to create a centralised defect management approach and reporting mechanism

 

What We Need from You:

Essential Skills:

  • Previous experience of leading and managing a similar function (could include PMO or TMO), including demand, capacity, resource, and budget management
  • Previous experience of conducting internal assessment on delivery teams
  • Previous experience of leading and managing test teams
  • Previous experience of managing vendors and 3rd party services suppliers, and contract performance management
  • Previous experience of setting strategy and direction, and being part of a Business Test & Assurance leadership function
  • Excels at stakeholder management and communication
  • Proven experience of defining metrics and reporting dashboards for projects, programmes, or test frameworks
  • Thought leadership in conceptualising onboarding ideas and translating them into projects with tangible benefits
  • People leadership to manage a team and influence stakeholders on the digital transformation journey
  • Strong understanding and practice of project methodology
  • Strong sense of ownership and entrepreneurship spirit to get things done, result oriented and driven to succeed
  • Experience of JIRA, Confluence, and test management and reporting tools
