What to expect 

  • Identification and acquisition of large, international opportunities (incl. contract negotiations)
  • The Global Account Manager (GAM) acts as the main point of contact for segmented multinational accounts and represents the entire portfolio to the client
  • Establish an executive relationship management with top decision makers at the client
  • Assuming overall responsibility for the assigned accounts
  • The Global Account Manager has the main task of increasing market share and revenue across the entire Telefónica geographic footprint.
  • Creation of an account strategy, including account planning
  • Translating the Telefónica Global Solutions Value Proposition into an acquisition strategy
  • Overall management of international tenders
  • Formation and functional leadership of virtual teams consisting of national account managers, bid managers, presales and postsales
  • Close cooperation with the legal department in the drafting of contractual agreements with clients
  • Close cooperation with the commercial departments
  • Work closely with central Telefónica Global Solutions resources to further develop Multinational Services.

 

What you bring 

  • Technical/scientific or business studies or comparable training
  • Several years of sales experience in the IT/telecommunications industry, preferably in the area of corporate or international sales; ideally experience in international key account business with a provider of telco or IT services
  • Experience in the management and professional leadership of virtual account teams
  • Strategic thinking, grasp of customer requirements and ability to translate this into tailor-made customer management
  • High level of initiative, motivation and organisational skills
  • First-class presentation skills and strong communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Serious and engaging appearance
  • English - business fluent
