As a Cyber Enablement expert, you are a member of Telefonica’s security expert team which is supporting internal projects to implement secure architectures according to external regulations, Telefonica policies and pre-defined blueprints.
A strong focus is to support Telefonica’s strategy to radically transform applications with up-to-date technologies stacks using hybrid cloud platforms.
You will support complex projects in the domain of telecommunication and IT to build up secure applications and to integrate them into security services. You will create blueprints that other applications can benefit from achievements of previous projects, and you will mentor other members of the Cyber Enablement team to continuously improve the team knowledge level.
The team and therefore you are the interface between the technology organization and the security department. You are the trusted contact point for other team members within the security organization, projects and application owners and act as an internal consultant, mediator, and technical security expert.
What to expect
- Act as Single Point of Contact for internal projects towards the security organization
- Identify and document applicable security controls to application teams
- Consult application owners, solution architects and developers how to achieve security requirements by adapting security blueprints and best practices and by integrating components into central security services
- Verify the effective implementation of security controls
- Jointly with the Security Architecture Team, develop, document and advocate security blueprints
- Mentor more junior colleagues in the Cyber Enablement team to improve their technical and personal skills
- Advocate secure architecture and development in Telefonica communities and by attending Telefonica Group and external conferences
What you bring
- Bachelor/ Master/ PhD degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience, including security architecture
- Background in Security consulting is a plus, Background in telecommunication sector is a plus
- Solid security fundamentals of security concepts, threats, vulnerabilities, risks, defenses, security principles, and security standards
- General knowledge about public cloud platforms, virtualization stacks, security automation, network architecture, Identity and Access Management, security development and encryption, Expert knowledge in two of the mentioned domains
- Strong background experience in cyber security, working within large and complex organisations/projects
- Ability to translate complex security risks into simple technical requirements
- Ability to raise awareness about Security best practices to business audiences
- Excellent written and spoken English, ability to effectively communicate to technical and non-technical audiences. The same in German is advantageous
