About the Team:

Credit Risk is part of Revenue Operations, which sits within the Finance & Strategy Directorate.  Revenue Operations has approx. 65 FTE, based across the 3 main sites and some home workers, with the majority of the team in Leeds.  Consisting of Credit Risk, Debt / Collections Strategy, Billing Accuracy, Finance Change & Revenue Assurance and Enterprise Billing & Collections


About the Role:

  • Credit risk delivery lead, supporting strategic transformation programmes
  • Support the design, refinement and testing of credit risk user stories and journeys
  • Support the integration, testing and review of the credit risk decision engine implementation (Experian’s PowerCurve) and future development
  • Optimise processes, frameworks and functionality of tools from a commercial and operational perspective
  • Ensure any system/strategy changes are fully tested with clear post implementation review to ensure operates as planned and change control/process documentation is maintained.
  • Working with internal stakeholders, giving feedback on key performance outcomes and recommendations on areas for improvement



  • Credit Risk subject matter expert supporting transformation programmes including AO2 and PowerCurve
  • Test lead ensuring comprehensive and complete user and system testing is performed for the implement of new functionality, tools and processes
  • Review the effectiveness of implementation, ensuring the delivery of expected/modelled results 
  • Prioritise and agree change roadmap including evaluation of impact, engaging with stakeholders on the delivery and pace of change
  • Run champion challenge trials to challenge existing processes and improve customer experience/conversion/disconnection rates
  • Maintain clear and up to date process, system & authorisation documentation
  • Ensure policy and processes adhere to regulatory and legal requirements and guidelines



Essential Skills & experience:       

  • Experience of credit risk transformation outside of O2
  • Understanding of credit risk and acquisition strategies
  • Expert translation of business requirements into system delivery
  • Strong project management experience, problem identification and analytical skills
  • Innovative mind-set to continually improve business processes & customer experience
  • Effective and clear communication of business impacts
  • Building and maintaining strong agile working relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders


Desirable Skills & experience:

  • Credit Bureau Decision Engines such as PowerCurve Originations
  • SDS/Transact /Hunter system expertise and credit policy/acquisition procedure knowledge
  • Knowledge of SAS or equivalent
  • Knowledge of project management life cycle/Prince 2
