This position will sit within Telefónica Global Solutions, the Multinationals unit of Telefónica that manages the relationship with the Group’s largest multinational customers. The unit brings together Telefónica’s capabilities across geographies and technologies to support customers with the broadest international footprint, helping them translate business needs into technological projects and global solutions.
Within this context, the European Public Sector vertical is a strategic growth pillar, focused on building trusted, long-term relationships with EU institutions by delivering secure connectivity, sovereign cloud and advanced cybersecurity capabilities.
What will your mission be? 🎯
Lead Telefónica’s commercial strategy for the European Public Sector vertical, acting as the primary owner of the relationship with key EU institutional customers. You will drive long-term account development, manage complex opportunities and translate strategic positioning into sustainable business growth, reinforcing Telefónica’s role as a trusted partner for Europe’s digital transformation.
What capabilities are we looking for in you?🔎
Capacidades técnicas (must):
- Strategic account management & complex deal leadership
- Consultative solution selling (B2B/B2G environments)
- Understanding of telecom, cloud, cybersecurity and digital infrastructure
Capacidades soft (must):
- Stakeholder management at executive level
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Analytical thinking and strategic prioritization
How will you contribute with your capabilities to the purpose of the role? 💼
- Define and execute the 3–5 year account strategy for priority European institutions
- Build and manage relationships with stakeholders across executive, procurement and operational levels
- Lead complex tender processes and proposals, coordinating internal teams (presales, legal, bid management, operations)
- Drive pipeline growth and revenue generation through new business, renewals, upsell and cross-sell opportunities
What other aspects do we value? 📚
- Degree in Business, Engineering or technology-related disciplines
- Previous experience with European institutions, public procurement or Brussels-based ecosystems is a strong advantage
- High level of English (C1 – required)
- French (preferred)
- At least 7 years of experience in account management, business development or senior commercial roles
- International experience and exposure to institutional or complex environments
