This position sits within Telefónica Global Solutions, the Multinationals unit of Telefónica that manages relationships with the Group’s largest multinational customers, bringing together capabilities across geographies and technologies to deliver global solutions.

 

Within this context, the European Public Sector vertical is a strategic growth pillar, where success relies on strong relationships, deep institutional understanding and the ability to navigate complex procurement frameworks.

 

What will your mission be? 🎯

 

Support the growth of Telefónica’s European Public Sector business by ensuring a strong commercial presence in Brussels, developing relationships with institutional stakeholders and generating qualified pipeline in priority accounts.

 

What capabilities are we looking for in you?🔎

 

Technical capabilities (must-have):

  • Business development and consultative sales in B2B/B2G environments
  • Opportunity identification, qualification and pipeline generation
  • Knowledge of telecommunications, technology or digital services

 

Soft skills (must-have):

  • Strong relationship-building and networking skills
  • Proactive and results-oriented mindset (“hunter profile”)
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to operate effectively in formal and multicultural environments

 

How will you contribute with your capabilities to the purpose of the role? 💼

  • Identify and qualify business opportunities across EU institutions and agencies
  • Build and maintain relationships with technical, procurement and business stakeholders
  • Monitor procurement platforms (TED, Mercell, etc.) and assess opportunities
  • Support proposal development by providing market intelligence and institutional insights
  • Represent Telefónica in meetings, events and relevant forums in Brussels
  • Coordinate with internal teams (European Affairs, presales, bid management)
  • Provide regular reporting on pipeline evolution and commercial activity

 

What other aspects do we value? 📚

  • Degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Knowledge of the Brussels institutional ecosystem (desirable)
  • Over 5 years of experience in telecommunications, technology or digital services
  • Experience in business development, consultative sales or account support
  • Strong coordination and reporting capabilities
  • Fluent English (required)
  • French (preferred)
