In Media & Entertainment Innovation we future-proof Telefonica’s global video businesses and entertainment propositions. We do this by building useful & desirable consumer experiences, thereby driving engagement with / relevance of the most enjoyable and enriching aspects of the ‘home’ play

- Enhancing existing entertainment platforms
- Reimagining content creation / distribution / participation tools
- Inventing new platforms / stories & how audiences engage with them

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Product Manager must define, shape and evolve propositions, from scratch. These propositions must be validated by consumers and the business, to ensure that there is a product-market fit. The Product Manager will be expected to balance day-to-day tactical tasks (i.e developing products that are fully functional and technically viable) with a long-term strategic vision, demonstrating ambition to drive the business forward.
A core part of the role is stakeholder management. The candidate must work with and get buy-in from the Heads of Strategy, Product Management & Product to ensure that products developed align with our long term strategy and product vision. They must find internal senior-level sponsors to ensure there is a route to market.
The candidate must be able to work with and influence a transversal, cross-functional team (Engineering, UX, Commercial) to deliver ambitious products/services that will add value to Telefónica’s content arms (i.e M+/VivoPlay) and support CDCO's vision.

* To lead all aspects of the project including:
    * Defining a product that is in line with Media & Entertainment Innovation’s strategy (as defined by the Head of Insight & Strategy)
    * Designing products that are in line with our overall product vision/roadmap (as defined by the the Head of Product & Head of Product Management)
    * Defining products that are based on insight and meet a validated need (by consumers and stakeholders in the business)
    * Shaping a future vision of the project that represents a significant opportunity for Telefónica and defending this vision across the business
    * Securing pilots with Telefónica’s operating businesses across Europe
    * Internal stakeholder management, up to a Director level
    * Finding external partners that can enrich our products (from a technological, customer experience or commercial perspective)
    * Managing all associated legal/contractual matters
    * Leading a transversal, cross-functional team, to meet deadlines and to deliver high quality MVPs that can later be industrialised
    * A core part of the role will also include pitching for additional funding and headcount to support the future scaling of the product
    * The successful candidate should also become the resident expert in this field and be ready to support other adjacent projects within the funnel
    * Support the Head of Product Management in building business cases and planning across the area


PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
•At least 5 years experience in a product discipline (PM, UX, Engineering etc)
- Experience working within a content/Broadcast environment
•Experience in building solid propositions and defending them at a senior level
•Experience influencing and leading a multi-functional team
• Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills and the ability to effectively interface with senior management and staff
• Ability to operate as an effective tactical as well as strategic thinker
• Financially literate
•Ability to adapt according to changes in the business and in the team
•Highly driven and results focussed
