Flex and Connect - work where it's most productive.

Our flexible working model gives you the freedom to organize your work location and working hours flexibly. Attendance at our o2 Telefónica locations throughout Germany plays an important role: it promotes direct dialogue, strengthens our corporate culture and contributes to building strong networks. In this way, team spirit remains a decisive success factor even in a flexible working environment. We will discuss further details about our hybrid working model during the application process.

We’re looking for someone who lives for people. You get your energy from being around others, you love building connections, and you know that the best way to support a community is to be right there with them. This role is all about being the heartbeat of our start-up community in Munich. You’ll spend most of your time on-site, talking to founders, spotting opportunities, and making things happen — from events to partnerships to matching start-ups with O₂ Telefónica employees. And because we believe time is best spent on human connection and matchmaking, you’ll also bring in smart automations to handle repetitive processes. That way, the boring stuff runs itself, and you can focus on the magic between people.

What you do

  • #Leadership: Keep our start-up community running smoothly, growing steadily, and buzzing with energy
  • #Collaboration: Work closely with our Venture Development and Investment teams to identify, select, and onboard the best start-ups — with a special focus on Enterprise Tech and a strong strategic fit for Telefónica
  • #Community-Building: Bring people together through events, projects, and day-to-day interactions
  • #Event-Planning: Plan and deliver workshops, meetups, and events — including some evening events, so flexibility with your schedule is key
  • #Networking: Build strong connections in the O₂ Telefónica ecosystem and the Munich start-up scene, and develop partnerships that matter
  • #Operations: Oversee office operations and ensure everything is in place for our start-up residents and the Wayra team to thrive
  • #Presence: Be our go-to person for what’s happening on the ground — because you’re there

What you bring

  • Experience in #community building, #communications, and/or #event management
  • Confident #presentation skills
  • A genuine interest in start-ups, corporate structures, and game-changing #innovation
  • #Proactivity — you like to take ownership, try new ideas, and question the status quo
  • Bonus points for complementary skills such as #event management, #design, #website management, and #content creation — or the eagerness to learn them
  • Familiarity with #HubSpot, #Slack, #Notion, and #Webflow is a plus
  • Fluent in #German and #English

Note: The bullet points above describe our ideal candidate. None of us matched all of them when we joined. We encourage you to apply even if you meet only part of our wish list — or if you have something different or extra that you believe you could contribute to Wayra’s team.

What we bring

  • A tight-knit team with strong values — helpful, committed, and diverse
  • An international melting pot of cultures, united by collaboration and mutual respect
  • A culture of ownership — as a small team, accountability and integrity matter, and everyone plays a role in shaping Wayra
  • Recognition for everyone, no matter your position. This role is hands-on, and we value people who jump in and make things happen
  • Plenty of opportunities for personal growth — develop your skills and benefit from exposure to both the corporate and start-up worlds
  • A front-row seat to cutting-edge innovation
  • A truly unique community — our office is home not just to the Wayra team, but also to over 20 start-ups and more than 2,000 O₂ Telefónica employees
  • A modern, spacious workplace in one of Munich’s highest offices — the O₂ Tower, with breathtaking views over the city and the Alps

If you’re the kind of person who’s happiest in the middle of the action, thrives on human connection, and can’t help but make things happen — we want to meet you
