Category Manager (m/f/d) Global B2B Procurement - 12 months FTC

Key Accountabilities
- Proactive support to enterprise business units identifying most relevant leads in Sales’ funnel and promoting agnostic approach in the early stages to maximize concurrence and benefits from category strategy when implemented.
- Provide support with the purchase process for the applying category strategy according to Telefonica’s Procurement mainly for purchases of medium complexity that require a medium level of specific/technical knowledge of the different product/services under the - Analyse the purchase requests and the technical specifications, collaborating when necessary with the budget holders in the creation of the specifications.
- Prepare complex comparison charts (even among heterogeneous bids).
- Contribute to homogenization of the specifications of the products/services, with the aim of easing the purchase management, taking advantage of the existing synergies and improving the negotiation results.
- Fulfil activities for aggregating demand to reduce and optimize administrative workload.
- Fulfil the purchase processes accurately, presenting the purchase strategy, the receive bids and the award proposal at the Purchasing Committee and recording the purchase information in the procurement systems (ACM).
- Provide support with the implementation of the purchase strategy oriented to obtain the best results in the negotiation and the satisfaction of the internal client.
- Manage the request, reception, analysis, and homogenization of supplier offers and negotiation with them, fostering electronic negotiation (e-sourcing).
- Provide support in the negotiation phase with vendors.
- Ensure and promote optimization and proper use of the product line supplier base, maximizing concurrency, considering the quality and service levels provided by the management areas of the different companies.
- Promote the development and implementation of best practices, developing methodologies that add value and improve the result of the purchase (price and conditions).
- Cooperate the creation of the global procurement map, spent scorecard and follow up its fulfilment.
Job Requirements
- At least 1 years of proven technical experience in the targeted areas or proven experience managing those or equivalent categories.
- At least 1 years of experience with consultative sales market, especially in B2B segment and presales phase.
- Technical acknowledge of the portfolio of main Vendors in the categories.
- Good understanding of Telefonica’s Procurement Model and the correspondent Rules.
- Knowledge on how to use procurement systems and e-commerce tools (GEP, ACM, Microstrategy, SAGA).
- Advance skills in MS Office, especially Excel
- English and Spanish fluent written and spoken is a must. Desirable knowledge of Portuguese & German.
